Voted the best hotelier in numerous hotel industy awards, Michel’s incredible experience spans across five continents in over 65 countries, including Europe, Africa, the Caribbean region, Middle East, West Asia, and Asia Pacific. With 55 years in the hospitality industry, Michel has made significant contributions, particularly during his three decades with Le Meridien Hotels & Resorts, where he was a founding member and opened many landmark hotels, representing one third of Le Meridien’s portfolio.

From 2003 to 2013, Michel was the President, CEO, and Founding Partner of HMH – Hospitality Management Holding, the Middle East region’s first alcohol-free chain. In partnership with H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Sultan Al Qassimi and H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Michel built a portfolio of 53 hotels across the MENA region. Since 2013, as the Chairman of EVOPS Hotel Development Consultancy, Michel with his team has developed many new hotels and mixed-use commercial projects across the Middle East and Africa for leading brands and independent owners.
